Y'all,

You have structured ISA in a manner that will benefit all of the stutterers in the whole world. The paper presents a lot of useful information in a very readable, compact style.

Those of you that participated in ISAD3, remember my enthusiasm when I found a Latvian in Latvia who also stuttered and I thought that the both of us could establish a Latvian Stuttering Association. Due to both illness in my family, his exceedingly demanding schedule, but, most importantly our separation from one another, the noble :-) experiment failed.

After reading your fine article and the progress you are making, I would like to make another stab at it. Since, I am not in Latvia, I think my best opportunity to establish a Latvian Stuttering Association, consists of building a basic webpage in Latvian so when other people read it they are interested to contact me. And I could put them in contact with each other.

When I go to Latvia next time, I will then devote my vacation to get publicity, and be able to direct them to something tangible: a web site.

Then after we reach a critical mass, maybe we will be able to also form an on going self-help group, with or without me, since, I do not intend to in the foreseeable future move to Latvia.

Now come the inevitable barrage :-) of questions:

1) Can you see anything wrong with my plan?

2) What should and what should not be included in a basic website. I neither have time nor money to produce a professional looking website. :-) I would like to use Frontpage and nothing else.

3) Do you as ISA have a template of a webpage in English, that I could just get translated in Latvian using our alphabet?

4) Do you think that it is within your "Mission" to help me out with advice and maybe with the webpage content and development? I think it falls well within "Helping to develop the self-help movement in countries around the world." :-) :-)

Gunars

p.s. Benny, how have you been doing? We have not corresponded in a while. Your help of whipping out a basic webpage in Frontpage would be appreciated. I would be even willing to buy us the program. :-)
