It is very inspiring to read your message.

It's especially helpful that you have described what you liked (e.g., the dream metaphor, among other things), and why you liked it. Such feedback is highly useful, because it enables the ISA organizers to know that they really are on the right track.

In my experience, the greatest satisfaction that one can get from volunteer work is just knowing that the work is proceeding well.

If you haven't already done so, I hope that you'll have a chance, at some point in the future, to attend a World Congress for People Who Stutter (next one is in Australia in 2004, or a World Congress on Fluency Disorders (next one is in Montreal in 2003), or a national conference such as ones offered by NSA and CAPS in North America.

Over many years, I have often heard comments from speech-language pathologists who say they've learned so much (of tremendous value with reference to their day-to-day professional lives) from attending such events.
