Catherine,
Firstly, if I had been your thesis professor, I would have given you the highest marks for answering all the questions in a reponsible and knowledgable way. I
As for your questions: "I am interested to know what work you have done" my answer is that I have been instrumental in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Work (Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering) as profession and Psychology (M.A) and stuttering as an avocation. After I retire, I hope to earn my Ph.D. in Psychology specializing in stuttering. For more information you can look up the following three links:

you ask: "or are doing at the moment"
I am still employed as an engineer at the Boeing company and have just started to write a book with a working title "How I Use REBT to Manage My Stuttering" and as an ASHA and SID4 member (due to my MA in Psychology) I am getting ready to go to the ASHA Convention in New Orleans this November.
you ask: " what experience you have had with stuttering"
Perhaps more than any other correspondent at this conference.:-) As far as I remember, and that goes over sixty two years (I am nearly sixty five now) and seventeen therapies, I always have stuttered. I have done best via the combination of stuttering modification and cognitive psychology (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy). Right now I am on a "fluent streak" probably due to the exposure to the On ISAD4 conference.
In conclusion I feel a little bit embarrassed that I asked you so many questions, but I truly wanted to know. This is one of my weaknesses and one of my strengths, I really want to know what life and people are about. Thank you so very much for your answers. And interest.
Gunars
