Re the Lidcombe program. Lidcombe would generaly only be used for pre school children, say age 3 to 6. I am not sure of its success after this.

In terms of determing success, the criteria is ususaly getting stuttered speech down to 1 or 2% of sylabels stuttered. A recent TV shoe with Mark onsloe describes getting a 4 year old boy who stuttered on 20% of sylables spoken, down to 1%. This was deemed successfull and the child would have switched to a maintenenance phase.

I had a similar successful experience with my 12 year old son when he was 3. He is now 100% fluent and no longer goes for annual check ups etc.
