Andy, I think you sell yourself short. If we mean specialist by only SID 4 specialists, you are right. However I consider myself a specialist in fluency because I have taken many classes, kept up on the research. We are going to be having a list in our school district of who specializes in what areas. Fluency is one area I am going to list. I posted in another place why I am not a SID 4 fluency specialist. I know of another SID 4 member in the schools who is having a hard time financially just keeping her speciality license because of the $50 fee every year in addition to all the other fees/dues. School slp's have union dues, regular license fees, school license fees,ASHA dues and all the SIDS the belong to pay for. So Andy-consider yourself a specialist in your district-we need to get the knowledge out.

Patti
