At the time that I attended Shady Trails, I really wasn't "tuned in" to the fact that maybe it was okay to stutter. Although we did talk a little about advertising our stuttering, mainly we worked on becoming fluent. Most of us did become almost totally fluent for the summmers that we spent there. Unfortunately, carrying it over to the "real world" seldom happened. But, I did meet some great friends there and had some memories that I will cherish forever.
