Thanks for writing such a thought provoking article. I have a couple of comments to make and a question. First, since stuttering is still a mystery in many ways, it is nice to see researchers like yourself exploring new areas. In my opinion, in order to understand stuttering we need to look in-depth at individuals who stutter.

Second, it is interesting to describe stutterers as consumers of therapy. However, that is a very accurate description. Individuals need to be informed consumers in order to choose therapy that best fits their individual needs.

Finally, I like the "Rescue Game" description of troublesome therapy interactions. It is clear from the descriptions of the roles that none of them belong in a therapy situation. However, if two people in a therapy situation take on the roles of the rescuer and the victim, how can one prevent a role from turning into a persecutor?
