I found out John stuttered because his debut single (the one where he talked about stuttering in the lyrics) was a hit here in the UK and some brief media interest followed and I read up on him from magazines, etc.

Yes, I find I am particularly fluent on the air during my radio show because I can hear myself in the headphones, and also because it's almost like I'm in a 'role', perhaps it can be likened to acting.

Finally, it was self-help that was the big step for me. I finally turned around and realised I didn't have to go on suffering. My attitude, which I believe was a major key in my recovery, increased ten-fold!
