Dear Candace,

A truly moving and well written contribution to this conference!

Gunars

p.s. Do you think that before the time in your mid-twenties when life started teaching you "life's lessons" there could have been any type of intervention (i.e. therapy, parental guidance, friendly advice, even reading an article like yours) that could have helped you acquire these same "life lessons" without the draconian measures that life imposed on you? As one who is seriously thinking of furthering my education in psychology and devoting my last years in life to helping other people, I would appreciate any suggestions.
