Yes, I do believe that anybody can put their stuttering (or anything else) into perspective if they choose to do so. But, you must remember, accepting your stuttering and putting it into perspective and two different things. I was a moderate to moderately severe stutterer, I had accepted the fact that I would always be a stutterer. I had accepted the fact there would never be a magic pill. What I had not done, is put my stuttering into perspective. Believe me, I have often wondered what if I had never been widowed in 1979? Would I still be living my cozy but sheltered life in Colorado, with Grady being my voice? I don't know -- that is as honest as I can be. I will never know. But God handed me lemons and I made really good lemonade and lots of it.
