Amanda, Thanks so much for your kind words, it is really appreciated. As for whether or not someone could have shown me perspective...I'd say yes...to some degree. The therapists simply concentrated on my speech. My parents told me I was beautiful and smart, but hey, they're my parents. Who believes parents when you're a teenager. So if another stutterer would have told me the perspective thing I would have listened. Often, I do sincerely try to share my stories with other stutterers. When I was doing chemotherapy, I attended a Cancer support group that really helped me deal with the treatment and the emotions that come with Cancer. That's what stutterers need: support and people who have been there. Thanks again!! Candace
