Hello, I am a graduate student at Minnesota State University, Mankato. One of my first clients was a PLWS and a lot of what we did in our therapy sessions was outlined in this paper. I found listening to the client, getting to know one another, and allowing the client to express his thoughts and feelings were all very beneficial. By spending time talking about certain speaking situations and how they affected his daily life, we were able to come up with some beneficial activities and techniques that could also easily be used away from therapy. By listening to and cooperating with the client, he was able to give input for his own therapy, which was also an important motivating factor. Thank you for your paper, sometimes focussing on the client instead of the therapy technique can be just as helpful. Chandra
