In that paper, we discussed ways parents can help their children develop healthy attitudes toward stuttering by modeling appropriate attitudes, listening to children's concerns about their speech, and - at the right time - talking with their children about their speaking concerns. I feel that this is the foundation for success in treatment as children make the transition from the preschool years to the school-age years... Is this along the lines of what you were asking about?
