"So Many Words"

by Bethany Turner, age 13

So many words I dream about
Silvery like melted steel
Flowing and dripping
From your flowery tongue

So many words
That you forget about them
Wipe them up with dirty rags
But what about me?

The beggar at the door
Aching for just a taste of your smooth gelatin words
To console me next time

When my own crash to the ground
And shatter

Sometimes I can't help but hate you.
