It organizes post-therapy camps, seminars, as well as support groups for 8-25 year-olds and for parents. It seeks to sensitize the public to the problems faced by people who stutter by using a variety of media campaigns. It also actively encourages a variety of scientific research efforts. Finally, it promotes early detection and intervention by focusing its attention on school boards, daycare centers and community health services.

There are eight self-help groups in BC that are associated with BCAPS. The groups are located in Abbotsford, Fort Nelson, Kamloops, Nelson, Prince George, Vancouver, Victoria and Williams Lake.
BACPS publishes a quarterly newsletter called BC Blockbuster. The newsletter is mailed out to over 200 people -- mostly people who stutter and speech language pathologists.
BCAPS has a yearly membership fee of $10 that includes a subscription to the newsletter.
