E.L.S.A. YOUTH MEETING — LAST CALL FOR DELEGATES

Co-operation in the new Millennium - Sweden

You may already be aware that ELSA is holding it’s third Youth Meeting in Sweden in July 2000. The initial details and first call can be obtained from the BSA office or on the BSA website.

This is the last call for delegates to register for this prestigious event.

Here are some brief details of the Youth Meeting:

It is a meeting for young people who stutter who are members of their national stuttering association

Date: Sunday afternoon 9 July to Saturday morning 16 July 2000

Location: Mullsjö Conference Hotel, near Jönköping, Sweden

Activities:

A selection of Workshops from: Writing a business plan, Non verbal communication, Theatre and CommunicationArt.

Presentations, Seminars, Lectures on: Stuttering, The workings of Europe’s National Stuttering Associations, ELSA, ISA , Stuttering and the European Institutions.

You will stay at a luxurious conference house for six nights that includes:

á Bedrooms with private facilities (toilet, shower, sheets, towels, TV, beautiful views of the Swedish countryside).

á Modern meeting and syndicate rooms with full conference facilities in an idyllic setting.

á Indoor Swimming Pool, Sauna, bubble bath, Recreation room, free Internet facilities, Lakeside and forest walks.

á Plenty of free time for socialising

á Close to the beautiful town of Jönköping

A day will be dedicated to the life and work of John Larkin (Scatman John) consisting of his music, videos and personal experiences of Scatman.

All food and accommodation including breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon and midmorning refreshments.

All this for 1000 Swedish Kronor plus a refund of 50% of your Student/APEX Flight costs or second class train travel expenses.

This is an opportunity not to be missed, it subsidised by the Council of Europe and the European League of Stuttering Associations.

1. Be under 26 years old

2. Be member of your national stuttering association

3. Able to speak, read and write basic English
