Steve Schroeder passed away on Monday, October 2, 2006 at the University Hospital in Madison, at the age of 62. Steve was a long time businessman in the Madison area, operating Schroeder Funeral Home in partnership with his father, Arthur Schroeder. Steve is remembered by family and friends as a generous and fun loving man who enjoyed the good things in life, especially walking the beach and shelling around Sanibel Island, Florida. Steve is survived by his children: Michael Schroeder, Gilliam (Jim Molenda) Schroeder and Hans Hanson; his father Arthur Schroeder, his sister Dedie (Bob) Hanson, his uncle Franklin Marriott, plus nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Evelyn (Marriott) Schroeder and his former wife Sharon Swan. Friends may call at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME 3325 E. Washington Ave. on Friday, October 6, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. We will miss Steve greatly and will long tell stories about the fun, adventure and love that he brought to our lives.
