That means Concurrent Enrollment students are eligible to access the same resources that are enjoyed by our on-campus students. Take advantage of the many opportunities available including online library access, the Center for Academic Success and MavMAIL.
StarID
The StarID is a username for use at all the Minnesota State Universities. This needs to be activated once before use. The StarID is used to access MavMAIL (e-mail), D2L Brightspace, E-Services (register for classes, access transcripts, pay bills, look up final grades), etc.
Your StarID will be listed on your acceptance e-mail from the university.

TechID Number
All Minnesota State Mankato students are issued an 8-digit TechID Number upon admission to the university. The university uses this number to identify students in the university student records system. A student's TechID Number will be printed on their MavCARD. If a student forgets their TechID Number, they can look it up online.
TechID Password
A TechID password is used in combination with a student's TechID Number to access services such as grades and transcripts. Student's can find their TechID Password online here. When you access your TechID Password for the first time, it will be preset to one of the following:
- Your birth date in YYMMDD format or
- The last six digits of your social security number
If you experience problems finding your Tech ID or password online, please call the Registration Help Center at 507-389-2252.
MavCARD
Your first MavCARD is free and delivered to you during your Concurrent Enrollment campus visit. If you should need a replacemen MavCARD, you may obtain one from the MavCARD office in the Centennial Student Union on campus. You will be charged $5.00 for a replacement MavCARD. This MavCARD is valid anytime during your junior or senior year that you are enrolled in a Concurrent Enrollment course.

MavMAIL
The Assistant Director of PSEO & Concurrent Enrollment will help you activate your Minnesota State University, Mankato MavMail account during orientation. Please check your MavMail regularly, as this is the Assistant Director of PSEO & Concurrent Enrollment’s main form of communication to you.
MSU Library
Minnesota State University, Mankato has dozens of databases, special collections, and archives in its library. As a Minnesota State University, Mankato student you enjoy full library privileges to access these resources. Even better, you are able to access them without being on campus. Concurrent Enrollment students will learn to access the Minnesota State University, Mankato Online Library resources during orientation.

Document Delivery
If you are a student living at least 30-miles from Minnesota State University, Mankato, you are eligible to have books and articles from the Minnesota State University collection mailed to your home at no charge.

Renewal
Renewal for materials that you have checked out from the library can be done one of four ways:
- Online at Library Services
- E-mail: MSU Library (include bar code on materials, bar code on MavCard and name)
- In person: you do not need to bring the materials you wish to renew, but may renew your materials at the front desk of the library. Click here for hours of service.

D2L Brightspace
Your teacher may choose to use D2L Brightspace for class. D2L Brightspace is a complete web-based suite of teaching and learning tools that provide course development, delivery and management of online courses. D2L Brightspace has been selected by Minnesota State as the approved and recommended Instructional Management System (IMS). D2L Brightspace is similar to common high school tools like Edmodo or Moodle.
