Integrative Therapies for Health

Program participants are invited to spend a day in an educational conference focusing on the mind, body, and spirit with integrative therapies for health. The topics will support holistic health for personal and professional use. Presenters will share professional experience and research in multiple modalities.
1. Describe functional ways to incorporate integrative health therapies and strategies into professional work, care settings, and life.
2. Gain an understanding of why integrative health matters to quality of life and health outcomes
3. Define current holistic therapies and their uses.
4. Recognize when holistic and integrative therapies are appropriate and understand the resources available locally to support their use.
5. Identify how to use mind, body, and spiritual techniques into managing their own personal health.
This program is designed for the health care professionals from nursing, social work, nursing home administration, psychology, chaplaincy, therapeutic recreation, professional and family caregivers as well as other allied health professions. Those working in medical, residential, and educational agencies that are change agents for patient focused care. Those affected by or looking for integrated models of self or institutional care would also find the program useful.

Jan Taplin DC has been providing chiropractic care at Chrysalis Chiropractic LLC since February 2011. She graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University with a Doctoral degree in Chiropractic. Dr. Jan is the current Vice President of Women Executives in Business (WEB).
Caroline Wood CGS, RYT, and RMT, is owner of Inspired Aging, LLC. As a small business owner Caroline seeks to bring holistic integrative therapies to individuals, businesses, and residential facilities.
Stephanie Hylla, L.Ac. runs the private practice Mankato Acupuncture Clinic. She is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice, and is a National Board Certified Diplomate in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Stephanie holds a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture from the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University, MN.
Janice (Hope) Gorman is an Ordained Interfaith Reverend and Spiritual Counselor, Spiritual Mentor, and Teacher. She is the founder & Director of the Hope Interfaith Center in Mankato, MN, which is a Spiritual Center.
