The President’s Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) is accepting applications for a representative from Minnesota State University, Mankato to attend one of the annual HERS Institutes for women. The purpose of the Institutes is to advance women leaders in the middle and executive levels of higher education administration. Applicants can choose between the Bryn Mawr College Institute or the University of Denver Institute during the summer or the Wellesley College Institute during the 2012-2013 academic year.
The HERS Bryn Mawr Summer Institute is a two-week program and will be held in Pennsylvania from June 17 - July 1, 2012.
The HERS Denver Institute is also a two week program and will be held in Colorado from July 22-August 5, 2012.
The HERS Wellesley Institute in Massachusetts will be held during four intermittent Thursday-Saturday sessions: October 11-13 2012, November 8-10 2012, February 7-9 2013, and March 14-16 2013.

The Minnesota State University, Mankato application process requires a self-descriptive letter, letter of recommendation from a supervisor, resume and a printed HERS application form available at the HERS website: hersnet.org/Application.asp - Please do not electronically submit your application to HERS.
Please submit the printed HERS application along with the other application materials listed above to the PCSW Graduate Assistant, Sophie Slater at CSU 218, 507-389-2486, sophie.slater@mnsu.edu. Deadline date for application is Tuesday, January 31, 2012.
Priority will be given to applicants who have a strong interest in bringing new insight and investing their leadership skills into the Minnesota State campus community, regardless of position, division, or bargaining unit. Past applicants are strongly encouraged to re-apply.
