 The office of Asian American Pacific Islanders Affairs (AAPIA) at Minnesota State University, Mankato and in partnership with the Institution of Diversity works to seek the achievements of:

  • Advocating and promoting the representation of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPIA) students at MSU and in higher education.
  • Supporting cultural diversity through learning, celebrating, promoting and sharing AAPI cultures with MSU and surrounding communities
  • Supporting the educational success of AAPI.
  • Developing and empowering future AAPI leaders.

In part of the mission statements, AAPIA would like to recognize students who have shown at least an accumulation of 1 year of participation in events hosted by the AAPIA office, the Asian Pacific Student Organization (APSO), the Hmong Student Association (HSA) and/or the Vietnamese American Student Association (VASA).

Students who have shown dedication and contribution to the promotion of diversity at MNSU will be recognized in a ceremony hosted by AAPIA and be presented with a stole of appreciation of the service hours the student has contributed to the campus and the community.

 Completed applications can be turned in to the office of Asian American Pacific Islanders Affairs in CSU 268.
