African American Affairs

The African American Affairs Center provides support, guidance, financial aid, emergency loans, academic/career/personal counseling. Support programs include:

• Courses for Excellence; Academic advising on course selection to help increase academic success
• Tutoring/Study groups; Academic support for students in selected areas to clarify course requirements and assignments
• Academic Monitoring; for first year students, those on provisional admittance or having academic concerns
• Mentoring; Providing support to insure a successful transition to the Minnesota State Mankato academic environment
• Academic Counseling; Helping and giving academic support for selection of classes. Instructors, credit limitations, setting "realistic" academic goals, etc.
