The pre-doctoral fellow program allows MSU to employ persons who help support the university mission and values with respect to diversity as adjunct or probationary track faculty in the academic and student affairs divisions of the University. The following guidelines are to be used in the selection and appointment of pre-doctoral fellows:
Minnesota State University, Mankato is pleased to announce the availability of an up to two-year pre-doctoral fellowship appointment. The purpose of the Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Program is to develop emerging scholars with emphasis on promoting diversity on the MSU campus. The selected scholar will serve full-time in collaboration with a department mentor/s. Opportunities for the pre-doctoral program exist in the:
Departments in the College of Education include Counseling (school, community, marriage and family) and College Student Personnel; Educational Studies: Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education; Educational Studies: K-12 and Secondary Education; Educational Studies: Special Populations; Education Educational Policy and Leadership Studies (Educational Administration and Experiential Education); and Psychological and Quantitative Foundations (Educational Measurement and Statistics, School Psychology, Counseling Psychology, and Educational Psychology). Eligibility: Candidates who are U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents, members of underrepresented group are highly encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to applicants receiving Master's degrees from Minnesota State University, Mankato. The pre-doctoral fellowship allows funding for two consecutive years. The fellowship can be renewed upon reapplication for a second year.
Salary: Salary for the academic year is limited to instructor rank, allowing up to five years of experience for salary adjustment. Funding for summer appointments may be possible. Fringe benefits accompany this fixed-term position.
