The National Student Exchange (NSE) is a consortium of 200 institutions across the United States, Alaska, Hawaii as well as Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands and four provinces in Canada which provides opportunities for undergraduate students to study for up to one academic year at another NSE member college or university. Minnesota State University, Mankato participates on both Plan A and Plan tuition payment plans.
Plan B, the more attractive plan to students, allows you to study away at another university for the same cost as your MSU tuition. Students receive their financial aid from MSU and are billed tuition charges at MSU. Plan A on the other hand requires that a student receive their financial aid from their host institution and are billed from their host institution based on the in state tuition rate of their host institution.
