Florence and Ray Sponberg Endowment Fund sponsor a annual scholarship. Florence is an emerita faculty member of the Minnesota State University, Mankato, Department of English. One scholarship of $500. will be awarded to a female undergraduate or graduate student from any major who can demonstrate that she has an interest in or has been active in the promotion of peace in the world. This requirement can be met by submitting a research paper on a peace-related topic which was written for an upper division undergraduate or graduate course at MSU, or by submitting evidence of active participation in the Kessel Institute or another peace-promoting organization. The applicant should be planning to enroll as a full-time student at MSU.
