6th HIGH SCHOOL DANCE WORKSHOP
FRIDAY, Oct. 14, 2016
Throughout the day, a variety of dance sessions will be offered,
representing multiple dance idioms. They will be taught by the MSU Dance Faculty and include
Tap, Musical Theatre Jazz, Vintage Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Improvisation, Contemporary Modern, and Dance Improvisation.
Information about the Department of Theatre & Dance,
including its five-degree options in dance, will be available. A short MSU Dance
performance will conclude the afternoon.
A FULL DAY OF FUN FOR A GREAT PRICE
Cost for the day of workshop sessions is just $5.00 per student. If you'd like to stay
for the evening performance of Frankenstein, you may purchase tickets
when they go on sale Sept. 12. Sorry, no discounted tickets available.
HOW TO PREPARE
Students should bring appropriate footwear (e.g., tap, jazz and ballet slippers) if they anticipate taking classes in these forms. Contemporary classes will require bare feet.
Students should bag a lunch, as the lunch break will only be 20 minutes. Pop, bottled water and candy will be for sale in the concessions in the lobby.
Parking is included in your registration fee. So when you register,
please be sure to note how you will be traveling (car, van, bus, etc.). To avoid getting a ticket, make sure to park in the designated lot. Information to follow.
