Aucilla Polychrome was a dish used by the Spaniards in the 17th century.  Aucilla Polychrome was found in Punta de Siguenza, Mexico around 1722.  It was discovered by Don Alejeandro Wauchope when he sailed into the Pensacola bay after Spain regained control in 1722.

The Aucille Polychrome Ware was described to be similar to the recent gaudy coloring of Mexican tourist trade ware.  It is also similar to the Abo Polychrome but the Aucille Polychrome is darker and duller.

Since most of the every-day, variety of dishes found at the site were so rare little work had been done to classify or write about the pottery.  There is also little knowledge of where the pottery had originated from and what the original name for it was.
