The LeCroy point was named by Madeline Kneberg. They were originally found at the LeCroy site in Hamilton County, Tennessee. This point is small to medium size and also has a bifurcated stem and a blade with deep serrations. The points may range from 1" to 3.5" or more in length and the majority have broad proportions. The point dates between 6300 and 7000 B.C.

The blade edges can be either excurvate or recurved. The blade is often asymmetrical with the stem. Also, the blades show shallow, flat flake scars, which were made by indirect percussion. The blade edges were not always carefully retouched, which resulted in a ragged appearance.
