The Bauer Site is located in LeSueur County adjacent to Lake Washington.
It was located by
Richard
Strachan and
Robert
Burgess. The site was intensively surface collected and ultimately
excavated during the summer of 1973 as a Minnesota State University, Mankato
Field School. The site is a Middle - Late Woodland camp site utilizing the
lucustrian resources of the lakeshore.
