White-Cheeked Gibbon

Class: Mammalia Order: Primates Family: Pongidae

Genus: Hylobates Species: concolor Subspecies: leucogenys

Habitat: tropical and evergreen rain forests of Vietnam and Laos

Diet: fruit, leaves and buds, insects, young birds and eggs (on occasion)

Locomotion: brachiation (arm-swinging) from tree to tree;

Gibbons are one of the most agile mammals in trees

Where is the Gibbon? Blending in to their environment is one of the Gibbons' survival strategies.
