Distribution and Habitat:Orangutans are found in northern
Sumatra, Indonesian Borneo, and Malaysian Borneo. Their numbers
range from 15,000 to 24,000. They are found in tropical rain forests.
They live in the lower to mid canopy (20 to 100 feet off the ground).
Orangutans are the world's largest arboreal mammal. They spend 99%
of their time in trees.
