Fragaria virginiana Duchesne. (wild strawberry)

The roots steeped in water was drunk by children for cholera.

Geranium maculatum L. (wild geranium)

The root was dried and powdered and put in mouth to relieve a sore mouth, especially for children.

Glycyrhiza lepidota Pursh. (wild licorice)

The root was chewed to relieve toothaches. Leaves steeped in water was applied to ears for earaches, or drank by children for fever.

Grindelia squarrosa (Pursh) Dunal. (sticky head)

The plant mixed with water used for colic in children, also for consumption.

Gymnocladus dioica (L.) Koch. (kentucky coffee tree)

The bark of root was dried and pulverized and mixed with water and used as a rectal injection for constipation. The dry pod, snuffed caused sneezing for relieve of head colds and headaches.
