Did You Know.....The site where the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers connect is sacred ground to the Dakota people. Bdote Minisota (also known as Mdote Minisota), contains the site of the Dakota creation story, dwelling places of their gods, and burial mounds. Today this area is surrounded by parts of Minneapolis, St. Paul, and several suburbs.
