Wiedman School

One of Mankato's earliest day schools was located at 608 North Front Street and operated by the energetic Professor Wiedman. The school was begun around 1860. The Professor taught his classes in both English and German and ran a non-denominational school. The school closed down in 1880, when the building it was housed in was sold to Quirinus Leonard.
