Buddhism

The Buddhist religion began with Siddhartha Gautama, known as Buddha or the Enlightened One.  The exact century that Buddha lived is not known although he is believed to have lived sometime around 500 B.C.  Buddhists believed that there are Four Noble Truths in life; 1) life is suffering, 2) there is a cause for suffering which is desire, 3) there is a way to end suffering, and 4) the way to end suffering is to follow the Eightfold Path.  According to the Eightfold Path there are 8 rights, 1) right opinion, 2) right thought, 3) right speech, 4) right activity, 5) right livilihood, 6) right effort, 7) right attention, and 8) right concentration.
