Islam would spread to parts of Indonesia and further into the interiors of Africa. Islam was spreading out in the world through warfare and interactions between Muslims and non-Muslims. New converts to Islam would convert for various reasons, usually because Muslims enjoyed legal and business statuses that non-Muslims could not enjoy.
