John Tait

John Tait is the Edwards Professor of Egyptology at University College in London and is also head of the department. He has a degree in Classics and a Ph.D. in Egyptian and Greek Papyrology.

He is interested in Ancient Egyptian social history, languages, texts and documents of ancient Egypt. He has worked on the Carlsberg Papyri Project and the North Saqqara and Memphis projects of the Egypt Exploration Society.
