
Alan Woolworth was born in Clear Lake, South Dakota on August 19, 1924. His parents were William Doring and Alice L. (Rose) Woolworth. From 1946-48 he was a student at South Dakota State College. In 1950 he went to the University of Nebraska and in 1956 he earned a Masters Degree from the University of Minnesota. In 1960 he married Nancy Louise Kubanek and had two children, Kathryn Ann and Marian Alicia.
