The Vikings of Scandinavia Grade 3 For three hundred years, the Vikings were superb shipbuilders, sailors, and craftsmen. They took the world by surprise exploring new lands and terrorizing western Europe. Many Vikings were farmers, herdsmen, and peaceful people. Viking mythology and sagas are still enjoyed today and help students learn about this exciting time in history.
