The Big Bang Theory Grades
8-9 The Big Bang Theory of the possible origin of
the universe is very difficult for students to understand. This particular
activity was designed to show students that taking a given mass of material and
applying a force to it can produce a pattern that replicates the material
patterns noted when applying the Big Bang Theory.

Ecological Anthropology
Adapting to the Land Art/Social Studies; Grades 2-4
This activity will help students understand how people adapt to
their environment. Students will consider how the environment affects how
people live, identify examples of human adaptation, and appreciate
human-environment interaction.
Physical Anthropology
Bone Transformations Science/Art; Grades 3-4 This
activity was developed as an art activity in conjunction with a bone/muscle
unit. It encourages students to think about bones and their unique shape(s).
Students are also encouraged to be original and creative in their thinking and
designing. Students will be able to examine the unique shape of bones and
discuss the purpose of that shape, attempt to break the "creative block" and
think of the bone as something other than a bone, list the many, different and
unusual things a bone could become and illustrate one or more bone
transformations.
