Kamose ruled for about three years during the struggle to expel the Hyksos from Egypt. Kamose's father, Seqenenre Tao, began the fight to expel the Hyksos after Apophis I sent an insult to him. Kamose's reign was a campaign or series of campaigns against the Hyksos.
