
Guerrero lies in the south central part of Western Mexico and is part of the Pacific littoral. Guerrero borders the Mexican states of Michuacon, Puebla, Oaxaca, the small state of Morelos, and Mexico, D.F. Vast sandy beaches line the western coast of Guerrero. Further inland, across tropical lowlands, run the mountain ranges of the Sierra Madre.
The climate
of Guerrero is a tropical one with a maximum temperature of 28 degrees
Centigrade and a minimum temperature of 15 degrees Centigrade. Guerrero has a
rainy season that lasts through the summer months starting in May and
ending in September. May is usually the warmest
month of the year and January the coldest and driest.
Plants & AnimalsIn the highlands along the hills of the Sierra Madre there are various species of pines and oaks. These native species are dwindling and not as numerous as they once were.
