British Mountain
This culture was located along the Firth River in Yukon Territory of
present day Canada.
They settled
near the arctic coast at about 12,000 years BP. This
culture was good at making end and side scrappers, knives, saws, and
disk-shaped cores. Not only did the British Mountain Indians rely on the sea
for food and materials, but they were also capable of using supplies from the
land. On the land they used such animals as caribou and bison as food and
materials. These Indians hunted these animals with crude and unifacial
projectile points.
