Kluane Lake
This culture was located in
Yukon Territory of north western Canada at about 8000 years BP. This area,
where they lived, was primarily made up of tundra and grasslands. In the
present, however, this area is now made up of mostly all forest. The Indians of
the Kluane Lake culture were hunters of caribou and other animals along the
grasslands. They hunted these animals with leaf-shaped projectile points. Along
with these points, they produced scrapping planes and pebble choppers used for
grinding food including dried meat.
