Wellner-Hagemann Petroglyph Site
The Wellner-Hagemann site is located about three and a half miles from the Jeffers Petroglyphs Site in Minnesota. The site is located near a damn just west of Jeffers, Minnesota.
Below are pictures and subtitles of the petroglyphs found in the area. There is also definitions of the chalking process in a picture explanation format. It also shows how to find petroglyphs and what must be done in studying petroglyphs.

The compass is use to show a reference to size

As seen here petroglyphs can sometimes only be seen by the trained eye.

Due to weathering the petroglyphs can barely be seen

Archaeologist Dr. Richard Strachan and his associate survey the petroglyph site

Dr. Richard Strachan and associate color in engraved petroglyph with chalk so it can be seen more easily

As shown in the previous picture and comparing to the one above chalking is a necessity

After chalking is completed the petroglyphs can be easily seen
A thank you must go out to the work of Dr. Richard Strachan and his associates.
