Wow...a lot has happened since I left ETS in the summer of 2008. I have been working at the Tennessee Governor's Academy in Knoxville as a manager of residential life, and at the same time working on my Master's Degree in Information Science at the University of Tennessee. A personal highlight during this time was the birth of our third child in the fall of 2009. My professional highlight was engaging in a prestigious, paid internship with the Department of Transportation in Washington DC as a Program Analyst during the summer of 2010. I will be done with graduate school in May 2011 and am excited about the career possibilities in my field after graduation. I miss family and friends in Minnesota but LOVE the weather here...70 degrees in January is not uncommon! Best wishes to all in ETS and good luck!

ETS I miss you! Seeing your smiling faces in the video and on Facebook reminds me of all the good times working for Nancy! It doesn't seem that long ago that I was walking through the halls of your schools, sitting down to talk about your future, laughing over lunches and taking trips to see colleges. Time has flown by since I left ETS in January of 2010. I moved to Ithaca, NY to start my new adventure as the Director of the Upward Bound program at Cornell Univeristy - what does that mean? I'm the "Nancy" of a program like ETS at another University. I enjoy my new job and am looking forward to making this program as fun and successful as your ETS program is! On a personal note, my husband Isaiah and I bought our first house in the middle of the beautiful hills and woods of the Souther Finger Lakes Region of NY. We have 10 acres of woods with lots of deer and plenty of birds...some have even seen black bears in the area! We also welcomed our first child into the world - Taryn Andrew joined our family on July 15th, 2010. Being a parent is one of the most wonderful experiences in the world...when you're ready for it. We waited quite some time to have a baby, and are thankful for him every day. I wish you the best of luck, and will always have fond memories of my time with you, and Minnesota State Mankato's ETS program!

Hello to everyone in ETS! This past school year, I have enjoyed being a substitute teacher for District 77 (Mankato) and being a stay-at-home dad. It is amazing to see how much you miss when you don't get to see your children as much as you would like. My wife has started her own business as a marriage and family therapist and is working hard at building her clientele and being a wonderful mom and wife. My boys, Jensen (4) and Jacksen (22 months) are a blast. They are truly a blessing. I love being able to teach them how to be respectful and responsible little boys. As for me, I am enjoying my family, various church functions and responsibilities, playing softball, volleyball, racquetball and chasing all the baseballs Jensen hits out of our yard! I hope everyone is well and working hard at being the best person you can be. Life is too short to not give 100%!

Hi Everyone! I'm living in Minneapolis with my wife and our two cats. We live right next to a lake and I can't wait for the weather to warm up again! This summer also looks pretty exciting as my wife and I are planning to try to travel a little bit. We're hoping to drive all the way around Lake Superior - wish us luck! In the meantime, I've been working in the public schools up here and would like to start teaching English in the fall.  Just like all of you, I'm excited about and trying to prepare for the next step. I can't wait to see what adventures lie ahead! On the other hand, I'm also very grateful for the wonderful times that I had working with all of you. While I may have been your Advisor, it's always amazing to me to think of how much I learned from you. I wish each of you and ETS nothing but the best.
