Graduate
Admission:
- Complete the Application for Graduate Study (145KB PDF) or Online.
- Additional application requirements can be found on either form or by going to Graduate Studies.
- Non-degree seeking students:
- Select "Non-degree seeking student" on either form.
- Transcript and fees are not required with your application.
- Take up to 12 credit before formal admission is required.
Orientation:
- Graduate students do not need to complete orientation.
Registration:
- Register online through the first week of classes.
- After the first week of courses, students should contact Extended Learning to register for online or off campus courses.

Mavmail:
Your Minnesota State Mankato e-mail account will be used as the primary communication method by the University. Access to a University e-mail account can be found at http://mavmal.mnsu.edu/.
A students’ Mavmail will need to be activated and can be done at the above site.
Desire2Learn
D2L is the platform that Minnesota State University, Mankato uses for online courses. Many instructors use D2L to support their face-to-face courses as well. Access to courses using D2L can be obtained 25 days before the semester begins.
