Eligibility and Admissions Requirements

Seniors - Must rank in top 50% of high school class OR a composite score on the ACT, the PSAT, or the SAT, at or above the 50th percentile on the national norms and be in the top 3/4 of their high school class.

Juniors - Must rank in top 33% of high school class OR a composite score on the ACT, the PSAT, or the SAT, at or above the 70th percentile on the national norms and be in the top 3/4 of their high school class.

PSEO Program Academic Standards

  • According to the Minnesota State Mankato PSEO Policy, all students in the PSEO program will be expected to maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 ("C") or better and maintain a course completion rate of 67% or higher. If a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better and/or 67% completion rate is not maintained, students may be dropped from the PSEO program.
  • The PSEO program allows a maximum of 18 credit hours per semester.
  • All courses must be taken for a letter grade; unless offered only as pass/no credit.
  • PSEO students may not enroll in courses that have additional course related costs or special fees beyond the regular student fees paid per credit.
  • All courses taken by PSEO students must be at the 100 and 200 levels and approved for PSEO students.
  • Credit by exam or College Level Examination Program (CLEP) are not allowed to be taken for credit by PSEO students.
