2011-2012 learning communities for current students are:
- Sophomore Elementary Education
- Sophomore Essence of Nursing
- Honors
Students who choose to enroll in learning communities must meet pre-requisites for the courses offered and must agree to participation and other requirements. Students do not have to take all courses offered for the learning community, but will be required to take a minimum number of the courses offered. There is no on-campus residency requirement for participation in a current-student learning community.
Sophomore Elementary Education
Only students who have participated in the first-year Elementary Education Learning Community are eligible to participate in the Sophomore Elementary Education Learning Community.
Fall Semester 2011:
- CHEM 100: Chemistry in Society (4 credits)
- MATH 202: Elements of Mathematics II (3 credits)
Spring Semester 2012:
- EEC 222W: Human Relations in a Multicultural Society (3 credits)
- MATH 203: Elements of Mathematics III (3 credits)
Essence of Nursing
Only students who have participated in the first-year Anatomy of Nursing Learning Community are eligible to participate in the sophomore Essence of Nursing Learning Community.

Spring Semester 2012:
- SOWK 190W: Social Welfare Services (3 credits)

Honors
The Spring 2012 Honors course enrollment information will come out via the Honors Program Office. Honors students can choose among the courses listed below. Students must be accepted to the Honors Program in order to take part in the Honors Learning Community.
