What if...

...I cannot attend on the same dates that my student is available?

If family members want to attend the program, but are not available when the student is assigned to a program date, you can choose a different date. Simply indicate your choices on the reservation form.

...my student wants to attend Orientation with a friend who will also be attending Minnesota State University, Mankato?

To ensure that both students are assigned the same date, send in the forms together. We will make every effort to accommodate the request.

...my student cannot attend both days of the program?

It is important that students attend the entire program. If your student cannot attend a two-day summer orientation program or must leave early on the second day prior to registering for classes, they can attend an abbreviated program in August and register just prior to the start of fall semester. Students must attend all of the summer orientation program to register for fall semester classes.

...I live at a different address than my student and I want to make sure that I am invited?

If you live at a different address than your student, but you want to be sure you receive an invitation to participate in orientation, just let us know. You may either call our office or have your student list the appropriate information on their reservation form.
